‘A Cloaking Garment’
Project II- Set Within a Room in
The Wrightsman Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Project II is inspired by the French decorative arts from the 18th century. A cloaking garment is a silhouette of your choice that blends in with the environment and acts like camouflage.
I was amazed by the blue and gold room. Full of detail, handcraft, and many different patterns.
Focusing on the flower patterns on the carpet as well as decoration of the chandelier I focused my design on flower. The difference was that they were somewhat abstract flowers.
